It has been far too many years since I’ve taken the time to paint. Here is an ongoing collection of digital, watercolor and acrylic art.
Winter Night Sky
My first digital piece. Often in the winter when the air is cold and crisp, the sky is so clear. If you’re fortunate enough to live away from the city, you can see the many colors of the winter night sky. The stars stretched out across it like a delicate blanket.
At first glance, you may not see all of the colors in this piece. If you look a little closer, there are many layers of many different colors. I kept coming back to this one over several hours.
Took a little time to work on some sketching. It’s been well over 20 years since I spent any amount of time on stuff like this. This will be put on a larger 16″x20″ canvas for someone. For how long it’s been, I’m pretty happy with the rough sketch.
Somewhere in the clouds. This piece brought me so much joy. I know it’s simple. Digital watercolor is something very new to me. It reminds of when I was about 9 years old, laying in the soft green grass with my black lab, best friend, Buffy.
Just Before The Sun
I will admit. When I started on this, I was planning on a much lighter piece. However, as I continued, the frustration and overwhelming feelings I’ve been having about some things clearly came out. It reminds me of storm clouds, right before the sun pushes through.
